To me it’s fair to liken flightless birds,
‘Cause I’ve the wings to fly but not did I,
Rebellious mind had I when those were heard—
Were chirping toward lavish food supply.
The sun arose servilely low to ground,
Then shined the light on all that it could reach
Before the darkness, not the shade, abound,
And all below the darkness would be leached.
Then why are bird and sun to be compared?
‘Cause sun, with light as rock, helped bird unlock
(Since bird and sun the ground, one time, they shared)
The chirps the flock sent twelve by twelve o’clock.
To me it’s fair to liken guided sheep,
Whose white wools please them while they fall asleep.

Authority Lies
Authority does not
Recognize authority,
But only threats begot
By a risen majority,
Which only greed allots;
For those that persuade
Do so by a grade
Of given say
To our dismay,
Which does dissuade
The truthful ray
So that the night,
By mind, not sight,
Appears a day.
Recognize authority,
But only threats begot
By a risen majority,
Which only greed allots;
For those that persuade
Do so by a grade
Of given say
To our dismay,
Which does dissuade
The truthful ray
So that the night,
By mind, not sight,
Appears a day.

Orphan
Though Bartimaeus's eye
Is my mind,
I still try
To look behind,
'Cause 'tis there
Where promises lie
And is where
They ensnair.
So unto You
My life I give,
For what reason else do
I live.
If in my heart I have
The rock,
Then by Your staff
Will it unlock.
Now that I am no waif,
And I see 'cause of faith
I'll align with Your flock.
Is my mind,
I still try
To look behind,
'Cause 'tis there
Where promises lie
And is where
They ensnair.
So unto You
My life I give,
For what reason else do
I live.
If in my heart I have
The rock,

I'll align with Your flock.

Angel
I ask send me an angel down,
So you come to set me free,
An angel 'cause you descend to me,
Or a queen with a golden crown.
Above your head a halo rests
By which I aspire abreast,
Those steps you walk down
I ascend
While it's true we boh amend,
The light you give i'll use to bend
And make your beholden gown.
But rather virtue through patience hunt,
'Cause above me forms a crescent.
So you come to set me free,
An angel 'cause you descend to me,
Or a queen with a golden crown.
Above your head a halo rests
By which I aspire abreast,
Those steps you walk down
I ascend
While it's true we boh amend,
The light you give i'll use to bend
And make your beholden gown.
But rather virtue through patience hunt,
'Cause above me forms a crescent.
Take The Given
The Past's present upholds Future's past,
Simple thoughts thuderstrike us aghast,
Wonders of the mind steel lead,
Thus thought gives mind arrowhead.
Simple thoughts thuderstrike us aghast,
Wonders of the mind steel lead,
Thus thought gives mind arrowhead.

Betwixt
I'm either black or white,
Red or blue,
Not white and black
'Cause that is gray,
And that just may
Hold me back
From You or you
And the light.
Red or blue,
Not white and black
'Cause that is gray,
And that just may
Hold me back
From You or you
And the light.

Heat of Cold
Fires burn themselves to nothing more ,
The heat just goes to underscore
That when its cold
What said afore
Is gilded gold,
Put on hold
And left to store;
When cold 's galore
It burns like fire
But hurts two-fold
Either re-priced and sold
For desire
Or let off to float ashore
The heat just goes to underscore
That when its cold
What said afore
Is gilded gold,
Put on hold
And left to store;
When cold 's galore
It burns like fire
But hurts two-fold
Either re-priced and sold
For desire
Or let off to float ashore
